Update on Martinborough town water network flushing – Day 6

5.15 pm Saturday 11 May 2019

Today was the final day of scouring and flushing on our schedule and covered the Pink Zone.

No major hiccups occurred, and the operation went relatively smoothly.  As has been experienced all week, the turning back on of tobies has been time-consuming and resulted in water being restored slightly later than anticipated.

There is just one final small area of Martinborough, around Neighbourhood Café and the Wine Bank, where we were unable to complete operations on Wednesday.  Scouring & flushing will take place in this area within the next couple of days and those affected will be notified in advance.

Once scouring and flushing is finished, the system will be chlorinated on a temporary basis.  This is scheduled to commence on Monday 13 May at 5.00 pm.  For more information about this, please see FAQ’s on our website, under Important Notices.

Please remember to continue boiling your water until advised otherwise.
