How will this work affect neighbours?

While we always aim to do our work with as little disruption as possible, we know roadworks can be inconvenient due to machinery noise. The crew understand they are working near people’s homes and will keep noise to a minimum as much as possible.

Stop/go traffic control will manage the flow of vehicles along the highway during the works.

There will be times when works are taking place across driveways and the intersections with side streets, restricting your access for a short period.  Our traffic controllers will assist people to access their driveways.

No parking will be available on the roadside during the work. Please ensure your car is off the road. We always attempt to find the owners but if we have no choice but to tow a vehicle, it will be to a safe spot outside the work site or to the nearest side street.

Some tips for driving on freshly laid chipseal

It can be unnerving to travel over freshly laid chipseal and hear loose chips rattling under the car. However, the instinct to drive either too slow or too fast will not do your vehicle, other people’s vehicles, or the road any good. Driving smoothly at the temporary speed limit without sudden braking will provide the safest conditions for your car and our workers.
