Public opening of Pain Farm Homestead – free event, please register in advance

27 August 2020

Date: Thursday 10 September 2020, from 2pm.
SWDC invites you into view inside the refurbished Pain Farm Homestead, built in the 1920s and nestled in among farmland and mature gardens, a short drive from Martinborough.
Pain Farm was kindly bequeathed to Martinborough Borough Council by George Pain, in 1932, for the benefit of the Martinborough community. The property came under the ownership of South Wairarapa District Council when councils amalgamated in 1989.
The homestead has recently undergone a series of repairs and refurbishments. Given the community interest in Pain Farm, the Council is giving people the opportunity to look around the homestead before it is re-leased (currently listed on TradeMe). The rental income from the farm is used for the benefit of the Martinborough community.
This event is free, but you must register here on Eventfinda as numbers need to be tightly managed due to Covid-19 restrictions. All welcome – unless sick, then please stay home. Continues rain or shine.
Please be patient and practise physical distancing while waiting to enter and inside the property. In the event that we move up Covid-19 levels, the opening will be cancelled, or postponed if possible.
We look forward to seeing you there!
