Chief Executive Officer

Dr Jack Dowds is the Chief Executive, employed by the South Wairarapa District Council. Dr Dowds is responsible for all operational aspects of the organisation including overseeing the employment of staff and managing budgets.
 

Group Manager Planning and Environment

Glenn Bunny is the Group Manager Planning and Environment. His background is in Resource Management Planning and he has worked for private surveying and land development companies as well as local government. Glenn is responsible for many of the regulatory aspects of the Council including implementing the requirements of the Resource Management Act, the Building Act, the Food Act and Sale of Liquor Act.

Group Manager Infrastructure and Services

Mark Allingham is the Group Manager of Infrastructure and Services. He has extensive experience in managing infrastructure teams in local government in New Zealand and Australia. His responsibilities include the provision of water and wastewater services, and managing roads, parks, libraries, and Council property.

Group Manager Corporate Support

Paul Crimp is the Group Manager of Corporate Support. He is responsible for preparing the Annual Plan and Annual Report and managing all aspects of rates, committee support, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Paul has a strong background in local government and has also worked in the private sector.
